Khyber Pakhtunkhwa [Pakistan], January 1 (ANI): Pakistani political get together Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has launched a protest sit-in towards a surge in lawlessness, crimes and narcotics within the Nowshera district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the News International reported on Sunday.

The protest continued for the second day in a row on Saturday as individuals from all sections of society together with medical doctors, attorneys, college students, academics, social employees, merchants and activists of varied political events participated within the protest sit-in to place ahead their calls for.

JI district head Inayatur Rahman addressed the protest sit-in and lamented the district’s legislation enforcement companies, police, and authorities’s abject failure to eradicate starvation, poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, terrorism, violence, and drug smuggling.

The JI activist took a pointy dig at Pervez Khattak, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf provincial chief, who served as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s chief minister for 5 years and the defence minister for 4 years, blaming him for the area’s plight and points like starvation, and poverty, the News International reported.

As an entire Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province skilled an exponential rise in violence whereby the fatalities there went up by 108 per cent.
