Jordan Auman rushed for 105 yards and one touchdown and five other Wyomissing backs ran for scores as the Spartans rolled to a 45-0 victory in a season opener and Berks Football League Section 2 game Friday night at Hamburg.

The Spartans, the preseason favorites in Section 2, blocked a field goal and a punt and forced three turnovers, two fumbles and one interception.

Amory Thompson, Tim Fleischhood, Jason Gartner, John Huber and Jamair McCalpine-Thomas also scored touchdowns for Wyomissing.

Hamburg marched down the field on its first possession, using 16 plays, gaining 71 yards and taking off more than seven minutes off the clock before the Spartans blocked Nick Hix’s 22-yard field goal try.

Wyomissing stymied the Hawks the rest of the way.
