ZANESVILLE, OH – The Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department wants you to participate in an anonymous survey.

The survey will ask generic questions to assess smoking and tobacco views of Muskingum County residents.

“The survey is a community survey for our tobacco program. It comes from the Ohio Department of Health and it’s an anonymous survey that we’re assessing smoking and tobacco use in Muskingum County. And the responses are going to be used to develop prevention and cessation services within our community,” Health Educator Amanda McPeck said.

The Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department needs a minimum of 250 responses and from a wide demographic of people within Muskingum County.

“It’s just really helpful for the community to take the survey so we can have a better understanding of where their views in regard to tobacco are. So we really do want to know what the community thinks about tobacco so filling that out really helps us, and if we just get a small demographic of certain people it’s only giving a portion of that tale so we really need everybody to kind of take this survey.”

The survey can be found on the Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Departments website, www.zmchd.org or you can stop and pickup a paper copy of the survey at their building on North 7^th Street.
