The Diamonds within the Rough Black Women’s Health & Wellness occasion will probably be Thursday, Feb. 8, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in Hembree room 203 inside Willard J. Walker Hall. This important session will give attention to the broad spectrum of Black girls’s well being and wellness. The occasion is sponsored by Black Graduate Student Association in collaboration with the Dr. Barbara A. Lofton Office of Diversity and Inclusion, and the Graduate Professional Student Congress.

Panelists embrace Dr. Bri Biehl Jackson, chiropractor; Stacee C. Lambey, RN; and Warrenesha Arnold, a U of A graduate scholar working with Nyarai Skincare and Nyarai Nutrition. The panel will delve into each historic and modern facets, discussing the journey and progress in healthcare particular to Black girls. Key matters will embrace total bodily well being, wellbeing and the significance of holistic wellness within the Black neighborhood. This session goals to offer invaluable insights and foster a deeper understanding of the distinctive well being challenges and successes skilled by Black girls.

This occasion is supported by the Student Activities Fee as a funded occasion by the Graduate Professional Student Congress and is free to all at present enrolled University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, college students who pay the coed actions charge.
