MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) introduced one other spherical of grant cash for pandemic aid this week for rural communities in Wisconsin.

According to USDA officers, $13 million was awarded to enhance well being care in rural cities in Wisconsin. The grant will go in direction of 13 heath care organizations to broaden important companies for Wisconsinites.

“Having sustainable and accessible health care infrastructure in rural areas is critical to the health and well-being of the people living in small towns across Wisconsin,” USDA Rural Development State Director for Wisconsin Julie Lassa stated.

The emergency healthcare grants will assist rural hospitals and well being care suppliers implement telehealth and vitamin applications, in addition to improve staffing for COVID testing and vaccinations, construct new amenities and buy medical provides, Lassa added.

“USDA is promoting healthy communities through grants to make sure everyone has access to the health care they need,” Lassa concluded.

  • Waushara County Food Pantry, Inc

Regional partners may also profit from this grant, USDA stated.
